Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all awesome!!! I have been totally missing lately!. It has been really crazy here and I have not had time to do anything! I haven't made any videos or any blog posts. I have been working a lot more and we have had a few family dramas lately which has sort of turned my life upside down. I just thought I'd write this post to tell you all that I'm still here. Don't worry I still love blogging and I still love YouTube. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. I have been reading and watching all of your blogs though. My ipad has come in very handy lately, I've been watching and reading while in some strange places, lol.

I have come to realize that I am way better off if I don't try to force myself into posting everyday just because I think I should. Instead of boring you alI with 'fill in' posts I will post when I have time and when I have something awesome to share with you all. I think this will keep things more exciting for you and for me too.

Im so sorry this post is late. It was actually meant to go up last week but as most of you know I've been MIA for a few weeks.

Todays Hair accessory as I said is the Head Wraps , also known as the 'No Slip Grips' these things are awesome! I made this video a couple of weeks ago because I knew I wasn't going to be able to make any videos over the last couple of weeks. Since then the head wraps have definately became my favorite of the four accessories I was sent.

WHAT DO I USE THEM FOR?
I use them almost everyday at some stage. I usually wear one if I'm just home but if I have to go out in public I layer 2 or 3 to funk them up a bit.
- Showers and baths
- facials, masks etc
- Work outs, walks
- Housework
- Running quick errands

WHAT DO I LOVE ABOUT THEM?
- They stay in place no matter what your doing, no sliding back off your head, yay!
- They don NOT cause any head aches or irritation.
- If you wear them for work outs they don't get full of sweat, you can easily wipe them down if needed.
- They are simple, casual but cute.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to SCUNCI and POLKADOT PR for asking me to take part. It was loads of fun trying things I had never seen before and being able to show all of my YouTube and blog followers.
Overall I have to say my faves were the 'Head Wraps' followed by the 'Expandable Clip'. All of the products I showed come in different designs or sizes so I'm sure SCUNCI has something for everyone!

Hey Peeps,
This is the second SCUNCI hair accessory that I have tried and now reviewed.
Some of you would have already seen a couple of videos and blog posts that I have made in this series, for those of you that have no idea what I am talking about I will do a quick recap but check out the previous videos or posts to learn more. I will link to them below.

SCUNCI selected a handful of bloggers to review try out some of theor hair accessories and then tell you all what we think of them. They sent us 4 products to be reviewed one per week.

The first video / post I made was to tell you all a little more about the SCUNCI brand and to show you the unboxing as I opened it. Check out the blog post for that HERE.

The second video / post I made was about the SCUNCI hair accessory called 'THE BENDINI CLIP' which you can see by clicking HERE.

Todays post would be the third in the series and the second accessory that I have tried. THE SCUNCI UPZING:

The UPZING is a double comb with a stretchy part in the centre which is either beaded like the pic above or there is a fabric version as well. The one they sent me is the one you see pictured but they also come in different sizes as well as styles. For me personally I think the larger size would have been better for my hair because I have quite heavy hair extensions. But my sister let me try it on her hair so I could show you all how to use it. When I made this video I didn't realize that it actually was available in a larger size. I have only ever seen the one pictured but when I checked out the SCUNCI website I saw that it comes in different sizes and styles. The larger size with the elastic / material in the centre is the one that I would love to try. They also have videos on the website to show you how to use the SCUNCI accessories. BLUSH IVE BEEN LOVING - SLEEK 'Rose Gold'

Hi Guys,
Just a super quick post to tell you about this blush that I have been using almost everyday!

I firstly want to just tell you all that unfortunately I won't be attendiing #ABBW or IMATS. I'm absolutely devastated. I was super excited to meet everyone and have an awesome weekend, but I found out on Tuesday that I will be having surgery (nothing life threatening) next Wednesday and the doctor said I will not be fit to attend, boo hoo!
If anyone needs a roomie let me know because my friend Desiree was suppose to be my room mate and now I've left her all alone. We were staying at the Ibis so she is looking for a friend to take my place.

On a lighter note.................

I didn't do a monthly favorites video for August because most of my favorites were the same as last month but over the last few weeks I have been absolutely loving the SLEEK blush in "Rose Gold'.

SLEEK Blush in 'Rose Gold"

I recently did my very first order from the Sleek ONLINE STORE. I did a haul video and post if your interested. I have been using and loving a lot of the Sleek products but this is the blush I keep reaching for.

You get a massive 6g of product in these blushers for $6.50, I think they are a total bargain and the colours are fantastic.
The 'rose gold' is a corally / peach colour with a pretty gold shimmer throughout. Usually I like a matte blush but this is beautiful. If you love Nars 'orgasm' I'm pretty sure you will love this too, it's slightly less pink but it does remind me of the orgasm.

INGLOT LIPSTICK SWATCHES- from my freedom sytem palette

Hello Bellas!

OMG I feel like crap! I have been suffering with a horrible chest infection. I saw my doctor over a week ago and he prescribed some antibiotics which worked like a dream! But 24 hours after I finished the entire box I was sick again, huh?

So I called my doctor today and he is totally booked out. Not sure if I should just wait and hope it fixes itself or if I should sit in the waiting room for a couple of hours hoping to get in to see him and get another prescription.

Anyway enough ranting about my boring life, lol. This post is to share a video with you guys. I recently posted this on my YouTube channel. It shows swatches from my Inglot lipstick palette.

Any of you that have purchased from the Inglot online store would know how hard it is to pick colours. It's almost impossible to know exactly what the colours actually look like from the pictures they show on the site. And since they don't have names (Inglot uses numbers) you can't work out what the colour would be like from the name.

So I decided that I would show you guys swatches of every inglot palette I purchase. I have previously posted about my other palettes , I'll link to the blog posts below.

Nails Of The Week

Hello Beauties!
Today I thought I'd share the nails I've been wearing this week.
As some of you know I keep my nails short but I have acrylic overlays put on. Being a hairdresser my hands are in water and chemicals a lot. This dries them out terribly and stains them, but it also makes nail polish come off way too fast. The acrylic helps my polish last a whole lot longer and keeps them looking a lot cleaner than they otherwise would.

I get my nails infilled about every two weeks so the last time I went I had them painted like this:

This photo was taken a few days after I'd had them done. The salon I go to use a range of different brands, mostly OPI and China Glaze but they have a few other brands too. The polish I chose this time is by China Glaze. It's called "Agent Lavender", it's a matte pastel purple colour.

A few days later I decided to switch it up a bit and added a coat of the OPI black shatter polish.

I love the black shatter over a light colour, but I think it's just about time for me to take it off and choose something new. Hmmmmmmm , what to use?

This is the first accessory they wanted me to try, it's called the SCUNCI Bendini Clip.

SCUNCI SAYS:
Bendini is the perfect way to up the glam factor. Just slide one in, bend and snap it shut - it holds on tight with comfort and style.
These chic treats are available in 3 different sizes and designs and there is a Bendini for kids too. Click HERE to check out some other styles on the SCUNCI website.

I think they would be great to just keep in your handbag for those times that you need to pull your hair back off your face. I have tons of bobby pins floating around in my bag for that very reason. If the Bendini featured is not your style check out the other styles they have available. There was a pretty silver one I saw that would be more my style.

I'm not sure how SCUNCI would feel about this but as soon as my sister saw it she said "OMG, this would be perfect for my dog", lol. So of course I had to try it and she was right, it pulled my dogs hair back off it's face and stayed in place while it ran around. Because it is quite light and soft it didn't seem to annoy my dog either.
I guess it would be the same for a toddler. Im sure some of you would have had a 18 mth old little girl before, when they get to that age when you need to pull their hair back off their face it can be hard to find the perfect clip that holds the hair in place, is gentle , and looks really pretty too. Well the Bendini would be perfect! I have 2 boys but I also have sisters and nieces, if you have little girls these would be AMAZING!
They are super easy to use too. Just pull a section of hair back (or twist or braid) slide the comb into the hair and then clip the pretty section over the comb and hair. Check out the video below to see exactly what I mean.

ANY NEGATIVES?
Make sure you only pull back a small section of hair. If you have super thick hair it might be too heavy for these clips. Keep in mind I have personally only tried the exact one you see in the photo and video. The website says that they come in different sizes so if you think your hair is thick or if you have hair extensions maybe get the bigger size. For my hair personally (I have extensions at the moment) This size was perfect to pull my fringe back but my hair was too heavy for it to hold anywhere else.

The Bendini clips are new to Australia but from what I've been told from some of my YouTube subbies these have been in the US for years. I'm told SCUNCI products are really popular and very affordable, love that!

Just a quick post to show you a little preview video I made for a new YouTube channel called "BeautyMotiveHQ".

BeautyMotiveHQ is a new YouTube channel which promotes up and coming Beauty YouTube gurus. They asked me to put together a little video to promote my channel and this is what I came up with. Unfortunately I lost a lot of the footage I used from my earlier videos and have no idea how to use the actual footage from YouTube, I'm not that savvy, lol.

I was recently contacted by POLKADOT PR and asked if I was interested in being one of a group of bloggers they have chosen to try out some products (Hair accessories) by a company called "SCUNCI". Of course I was excited to try something new and share it with all of you guys!

WHO IS SCUNCI?
SCUNCI (pronounced Skuncee) operated as a privately owned company until it's acquisition by CONAIR in March 2005 . Conair is a leader in hair appliances (I own the little light up mirror and love it!).
SCUNCI prides themselves in being fashion forward and technologically advanced. From "no damage" elastics that don't pull, pony tail wraps that hold without pins to no slip grips that stay in place SCUNCI believes if you create a superior product the consumer will come. It is a philosophy that has made them a leader in their category.
SVUNCI say they have made it easy for each consumer to identify his/her style. With four colour coded product categories:
- GREEN is totally curious and clued in.
- GOLD is all about glam and gorgeous.
- BLUE is comfortable anywhere and so is her hair.
- PINK is all girl and all about fun.
Personally I'm not sure if I could be put into one of these catagories. I think I'm a little of each, lol.

Of course I was so surprised and super excited, but I was even more surprised when the parcel actually arrived and I saw the package she had put together. AVON CALLING! - small AVON haul

Hi Everyone!
The last time I ordered AVON was probably over 15 years ago. I remember my mum and her friends sitting at the dining table and marking off what they wanted to order from the catalogue. Then waiting anxiously for a couple of weeks for the AVON lady to finally call with our order, lol.

Since then I have stayed clear of the AVON lady. I just remembered being a bit 'old fashioned'. But lately I've been hearing a lot of amazing YouTube gurus raving about AVON products. The "PIXIWOO' sisters use a few of the products and in particular the 'Super Shock Mascara'. So I thought if it's good enough for them then it's definately good enough for me!

A family member knew of an AVON lady. Her name is Janet, if you guys are interested you can email her at folz@hotmail.com, I'm sure if she is not in your area (Im in the Macarthur area , Sydney) she would be able to give you the details of a lady closer to you. Tell her I sent you, just incase she wonders how you guys got her email address, lol.

Anyway, Janet dropped off a catalogue, I chose what I wanted and placed my order over the phone and less then 2 weeks later I received my order hand delivered to my front door! Love that!

MAKEUP TUTORIAL- Arabic Inspired DRAG !

So here is the tutorial that I have you a little taste of last night! It started off being "Arabic Inspired" but I was having so much fun that I went a bit overboard and it ended up my drag than arabic , lol.

This was a great chance for me to try out some of my new loose eyeshadows that I bought from Sundara and so far I think they are awesome!

Hello My beauty loving friends!

I hope you guys are all well! I have actually has a very busy week. My seven year old had been off school all week with asthma, I was called in to do extra work at the salon and now to top it off I am coming down with the flu! AUGHHHH! I think Ill start popping the vitamins and hope for the best!

Today I thought I would do a little review on a couple of things I bought a while ago. Some of yoiu might remember this from one of my "Hauls".
It's The Bodyshop Sweet Lemon Body Scrub and Exfoliating mit.

I am lucky enough to have a store just around the corner from me, but if you dont they do have an online store. Click HERE to go to the store.

I went into the store one day looking for a body exfoliator that I could use the night before I was going to have a spray tan. The lady in the store suggested this Scrub. I chose the Lemon flavour because it smells amazing! When I was pregnant with my 3 yr old I was totally addicted to goats milk soap that smelt exactly like this. It smells good enough to eat (no I didnt taste it, lol).

The lady suggested that I also purchase the mit for $8.95. (Sort of like "you want fries with that?" lol)
She said that way I wouldn't waste too much of the scrub because it wouldn't drip through my fingers, the mit would catch it. It comes in a range of colours but I chose the coral because it was the darkest colour. Anyone who tans would know why I didn't choose one of the lighter colours. Yep, the mit would end up brown! lol. They really should make it in black!

I was so glad I purchased the mit! Not to use with the scrub though. I found the mit is a better exfoliator than the actual scrub and it was pretty pointless to use the two together.
If your someone who uses spray or rub on tans then you will love this mit. Along with dead and dry flaky skin it also removes traces of old tan and prepares your skin for the next application. I have been using it with my normal shower gel.
As for the scrub? It smells amazing and feels really nice on your skin. It doesn't exfoliate as well as the mit though. I have been using the mit and then rubbing in the scrub just because I love the smell and it makes your skin feel soft and supple.

If your after a heavy duty exfoliator than i would definately go for the mit. I have already recommended it to a couple of my girlfriends who now say they can't live without it. It will now have a permanent home in my shower. The scrub is great for those of you who don't need something quite as heavy duty, or if you just like a little pampering. If you are someone that is a sucker for scents I'm sure you will love the scrub.

GRAFTOBIAN CORRECTOR PALETTE

Tonight I thought I would talk about something that I have been carrying in my kit for a while but only started using on myself just a few months ago.

The Graftobian Corrector Palette.

Those of you that follow my blog or YouTube channel would know that I had a little botox and filler for the very first time a few months ago (Check out the video here). One week after having the initial procedure I had a follow up appointment and the doctor did a little tweeking and added a little more Juvaderm into my lip. Surprisingly it ended up very swollen and black! It seriously looked like I had been punched! I had to go back to work the following day so I pulled this little gem out of my kit and went to work. It was fantastic! It almost entirely covered the bruising, nobody really noticed it until I pointed it out myself. Since then I have used it on myself for different reasons and it really is a great little corrector palette. I also love that it lasts. I found that I would touch up once during the day (when I had the bruising) and that was it.

I won't go into too much detail about colour correcting, I might do a tutorial on that at a later date but there is tons on you tube already (let me know if you need one). I think most of you probably know that this palette is used for covering blemishes or correcting and neutralizing discoloration. If your a bit unsure there is a cheat sheet on the back of the packaging to tell you which colour to use for what purpose. I have used all five colours on clients at different times, and on myself I have used it to cover blemishes, under eye circles, bruising and redness.

Recently I've had a lot of people asking me if I would be attending IMATS here in Sydney this year, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to say YES!!! and I can't wait!
IMATS will be held on September 24th and 25th at the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

The schedule looks like so much fun, from Napoleon Perdis to Nicole Thompson from MAC cosmetics and even Elessa Jade better known as "Pursebuzz" will be there, wow!

NEWS FLASH! - NO MORE CLOUD NINE IN AUS AND NZ

Just a super quick post to fill you in on some aweful news I found out yesterday.
CLOUD 9 HAS CEASED PRODUCT SUPPLY TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND!
I was so shocked and devastated when I heard the news. Personally I think cloud 9 styling tools are awesome! We have been using them in the salon I work in for quite a while now and have never had a problem with any of the products. They work just as good as everyones favorite "THE GHD".
So you can imagine my surprise when I heard the news. I actually received an email today to explain and this is what it said:

Dear friends of Cloud Nine,
It is with a heavy heart that we today announce that Cloud Nine UK has ceased product supply to Cloud Nine ANZ Pty Ltd, and forced the closure of the Australian distribution business.
Cloud Nine ANZ Pty Ltd have been forced to cease negotiations after the owner of the brand, ceased product supply.
The UK Head Office of Cloud Nine has become unhappy with their salon-only distribution model and wanted to move it outside the salon network. Their refusal caused the UK to stop supply, pending negotiation of a new distribution agreement with Australia. Australia refused to relinquish control of the distributorship channel and their negotiations failed. Cloud Nine ANZ Pty Ltd believes that they have acted with integrity with the intention of supporting the salon business and brand that they love.
The refusal on the part of the Cloud Nine head office to support the Australian market, in relation to the product problems, has been a major issue for the Australian team. The problem (together with other issues), has now caused the termination of their distributorship for Cloud Nine in Australia.

Isn't it sad? I really hope they can work out the problems. I can totally understand where cloud 9 Australia is coming from. I know as a hairdresser that if Cloud 9 was sold in department stores, priceline etc then customers probably would stop buying from salons. There is no way small salons can compete with prices offered by larger chains. So I guess Cloud9 Aus is just trying to look after their customers (salons) by not wanting to supply to others. It's just so sad that it has come to this. Not only are we loosing some amazing products but people are also loosing jobs! NOT GOOD!

Anyway guys, just wanted to fill you in on the goss. Aren't you guys lucky? 2 posts in one day! lol. I just wish it was for a happier reason.

Nails Of The Week

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday was a bit of a pampering day for me. I had my hair done, a pedicure, my nails infilled and did a little shopping. When I had my nails done I chose a colour from the salon. It is a pretty coral (almost red) colour called "Mod-ern Girl" by OPI. Later that day I stopped into the hairdresseing suppliers that I regularly purchase things from and I bought a few OPI nail polishes. One of them was the OPI "Navy Shatter" and I couldn't resist I had to go home and apply a coat to my 'just done' nails, lol.
This was the final result:

The 'Navy Shatter' does look black paired with the coral unfortunately. I bought the black one too so I'll have to play around with them. This is the first time I have tried any of the crackle polishes.

I CHANGED MY HAIR AGAIN, & OPI NAIL POLISH

Hi Guys!
Today I went and changed my hair!
I know you guys are probably thinking "WHAT? AGAIN?" Yes again, lol. You know what they say "A change is as good as a holiday!" Well it's been a while since I had a holiday so maybe that why I want to change so often, lol.
I went and had hair extensions put in again. I've had them many times before. I went to a little local salon that only does hair extensions, they are very reasonably priced. They braid little sections across your head and then sew them into the braid. I think maybe this is what they refer to as a "weave" in the US.
The girls there don't cut the hair at all so after having the hair put in I went up to the salon (where I work) and had my friend (and boss) Matt cut them into shape for me. They look terrible if they aren't cut. Maybe next time I have them done I'll see if they will let me video the process or take some pics to write a post about it.

Here is the video I made when I got home to show you all. I also show a few things I picked up from the hairdressing suppliers I went to today.

I'm still not sure if I prefer my hair long or short, dark or light, lol. I do know that I love having a change, and it's nice to have a bit of length so I can do some fun things with it and feel a bit more girly. What do you guys think?

RANT, CHAT AND COMBINED HAUL

Hey Peeps!
Lately I have been trying to control my shopping habits (trying). We have IMATS coming up here in Sydney and the ABBW (Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend) which I am so excited about. So I'm trying to save my money and save my makeup purchases for that weekend.
But today I just couldn't help it. I just needed to go out and buy something new and exciting. So that is what I did.
The video below is me ranting about how annoyed I am that Inglot just increased their prices. It's also me showing all of the bits and pieces I have picked up over the last couple of weeks (including todays haul).

RANT! - WHAT THE HELL IS INGLOT THINKING?

Tonight's post is a bit of a rant, I have a few things I need to say!
Anyone that follows my blog or Youtube channel knows how much I love Inglot, especially the 'freedom system'. Here are just 'some' of the palettes I own:

I do all of my Inglot shopping online because I don't have a store nearby. Just so that you have a bit of an idea of how much these palettes usually cost me, I paid $95 for my 10 pan eyeshadow palette.
So, I headed over to the site with a little retail therapy in mind and I soon noticed that the set up was slightly different. At first I thought it was just me, I thought that I was just confused (it was really late at night) and that I was missing something. So I closed down the computer and went to bed dreaming of what colours I would pick the next day. You can imagine how annoyed I was when I went back and realized that I wasn't confused at all! Inglot has changed the way you order the freedom system!!!

Previously I would pick which palette I wanted (eg 10 pan eyeshadow) then fill it up hand picking any 10 gorgeous colours costing me $95.
These days they are charging $10 per eyeshadow plus an extra $15 for the (10 pan) palette. This would total $115 !!!! PLUS POSTAGE!! Now that is quite a price rise! CRAZY!

Personally I think us Aussies already get WAY overcharged for our makeup but now they go and add another $20 onto a 10 pan palette, they have got to be kidding!!
This means the 20 pan palette would be $10 per shadow = $200 , plus $25 for the palette, so =$225 !!!
Plus, they didn't even put an explanation on the website at all!
I'm sure you guys can tell I am totally unimpressed! I love my Inglot palettes and I am totally devastated. Needless to say I didn't order my new palette and I will be thinking long and hard before I purchase again, boo hoo!
Have Inglot gotten greedy?

If any of you guys know whats going on, or even better if you can tell me I'm mixed up I'd love to hear from you guys!

MAKEUP TUTORIAL- RIMMEL 'GLAM EYES' EYESHADOW QUAD

Hello my beauty loving friends,
Today I wanted to share with you my most recent makeup tutorial. Here is the final result:

To achieve this look I used one of the Rimmel 'Glam Eyes' eyeshadow quads. It contains four beautiful colours that can be used for so many different looks. This one contains:
- A black with some glitter
- A light shimmery ,violet purple.
- A darker, matte, plum purple, and
- A light shimmery silver
Oh, these are 'my' personal desciptions lol.

Here are a couple of pics of the palette:

I usually don't use too many shimmery colours on my own eyelids because they are slightly hooded but I'm so glad I purchased this palette. I love the final result and I will definately continue using these shadows. Best of all, is that it's a 'drug store / pharmacy' brand so it wasn't too expensive. I bought mine from 'Chemist Warehouse', but I have also seen it in Priceline and online for about $14.95. It also comes in about 6 other colour combinations.

ROOM TOUR!

I recently renovated my little beauty room I have here at home. This is the room where I film all of my videos, do my hair and makeup, do other peoples hair and makeup.
I ripped up the carpet and laid new flooring, painted the walls and then rearranged everything and added some new pieces of furniture and storage.

BOURJOIS- BLUSH SCULPTING DUO EFFECT

Tonight's product review is the "Bourjois Blush Sculpting Duo Effect".

WHAT IS IT MEANT TO DO?
The Sculpting duo effect as you can see in the pictures above consists of two products.The darker shade is matte colour used to sculpt and shape the face. The lighter colour is a pearly finish which contains light reflecting particles to highlight the raised areas of the face such as the cheekbones etc.
This product has a very strong perfumed scent. I don't find it is over powering once applied to the face but it is quite scented when smelling it straight from the packaging.

I purchased this from Priceline for $23

WHAT DO I THINK OF IT?
-When I first opened the packaging I was quite surprised at how little product was actually inside. Looking at the product before I removed the seal and opened the packaging I assumed that the product would take up the entire room inside the package (look at picture #1). But as you can see from the #2 picture it actually only takes up about half of the package and the brush is on the other side.
-I don't usually use the small brushes that come with these products. I gave it a go for the sake of the review but it was pretty useless.
-I actually quite like the darker shade. I find it is not too orange like some contour colours can be. It has more of a pink or red tone. I would probably purchase this if it was sold on its own as a bigger version.
-The highlight colour is a light , shimmery, pink champagne colour which looks quite pretty when swatched but I found it was pretty non-existent when applied to my face. I have to admit I have a slight addiction when it comes to highlighters (just ask my friend Nicole, lol) and I like them to stand out! So if your someone that likes a very slight highlight and have quite pale skin you might like this.
-As I said previously I didn't really notice the scent once the product was applied but I was surprised at how strong it was in the package, and it wasn't as sweet as the Bourjois single blushes are. It is more of a strong perfume scent.

THE VERDICT!
Unfortunately I probably would not purchase this again! I really hate to give a negative review but for $23 you really don't get much bang for your buck. I was quite disappointed considering I think some of the other Bourjois products are awesome! I don't mind the contour colour but as a whole I have to say this is a FAIL for me.

AUSTRALIS EYESHADOW PRIMER

Thanks for stopping by! I have been super busy lately and haven't had much time for making videos unfortunately. I'm planning on filming on Thursday. So for those of you who subscribe to my Youtube channel "I'm still here!", lol. I hope you are all well! Don't forget about my current giveaway. I put together a pack filled with Australis goodies so check it out HERE.

Anyway, tonight I thought I would review the Australis cosmetics eyeshadow primer.

I purchased this from Priceline for $12.95 and I have been trying it out and comparing it to some of the other eye primers I have been using. I will probably do a seperate post comparing them in more detail.

WHAT IS IT MEANT TO DO?
This is made specifically for the eyelids to:
-make your eyeshadow stick like a magnet
-provides heavy duty staying power
-prevent your eyeshadow creasing
-prep your eyelid, and
-make your eyeshadow look as vibrant as possible.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Apply with the doe foot applicator (like a lipgloss) to clean, makeup-free eyelids and smooth over the entire lid. Leave to set for about 30 seconds. Lightly blend with your finger over the crease to make sure it's nice and even then apply your eyeshadow. Easy as that!

WHAT DO I THINK OF IT?
For $12.95 I think this is a bargain! Compared to some of the very popular ones around at the moment like Urban Decay and Too Faced Shadow Insurance it is around half the price for us here in Australia. It is a more sticky base but this really does help make your eyeshadow stick. I found that my eye makeup did last all day and I didn't have any creasing or caking, YAY! The packaging looks great and I like the doe foot applicator.

NEGATIVES?
If you don't like a sticky primer than this probably is not for you. It can make it a little more difficult to blend eyeshadow if your a beginner.
I think the packaging looks very sleek and modern but it can be hard to scrape out. If they put this product into a tube like Urban Decay now has, this would be FANTASTIC! I think I will have to cut the tube open and depot the remaining product after a while .

THE VERDICT!
Overall I think it is a great product and worth the money. If you are new to eyeshadow I would have a play with it to start with to make sure you have the feel for blending as I found it can be slightly more difficult than it would mormally be (without a primer). But this product definaetly does what it's meant to do and is worth the $12.95.

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Weather here has been crazy! A week ago it was freezing and the last few days have been glorious. Then today we had rain in the morning, beautiful sunshine during the day, hail in the afternoon and back to icy cold tonight. I wish mother nature would make up her mind, lol!

Anyway, as the title suggests tonight I thought I would review the Serge Louis Alvarez face primer. The correct title for this product is:

SLA COMPLEXION- PRE MAKEUP BASE
Yep, thats right guys it's organic! These days this is very important to many of you so here are are a few points to consider.
-99% of the ingredients are from natural origins.
-95.2% of the vegetal ingredients are 'certified organic'.
-Active ingredients sourced from fair trade countries.
-No paraben, no phenoxyethanol, no PEG, NOT tested on animals.

WHAT DOES SLA SAY?
The organic pre makeup base is a radiance concentrate that provides a supportive base for your makeup. Its light, ultra-comfortable texture formulated with exclusively natural, organic active ingredients guarantees softness, hydration, and protection of the epidermis while preparing it for the application of makeup.
This fluid emulsion has a light, fresh texture that immediately blends with the skin, providing the complexion with an illuminating effect. Smoothing and plumping: the rich, natural actives of this base grant hydrating properties to improve the cutaneous structure. Thanks to these active properties, skin is restored and protected against premature cutaneous ageing.

The Primer comes in four colours. Green, Neutral, white and peach.
I have been using the white one. Don't worry it doesn't look white on your face at all.

WHAT DO I THINK?
This primer is different to the one I was previously using but I am still loving it. I have combination/dry skin and I have found that this has been giving me a nice even base to start with. I don't like to moisturize directly before applying foundation because I find my foundation does not apply as well and it can seperate or rub off. I suffer with dry and flaky patches and the 'Pre makeup base' has been smoothing out my skin and making it feel and look soft, supple and hydrated. It doesn't leave a layer or coating on your skin, it seems to soak in and disappear in a matter of seconds but you can definately feel the difference.

SLA have two different types of primers, the other one is called the 'Makeup Studio Finish'. I think the one I was previously using "The bodyography Veil Foundation Primer' was more like this one. It is a gel texture and smooths out fine lines and imperfections. I think you could use them both in conjunction with each other for skin perfection! I have not been lucky enough to try this one yet though.

If you are after a 'heavy duty' primer that will work as a 'spak filler' (lol) and help hide wrinkles and imperfections I would probably go for the 'Studio finish'.
But if you just want a base that is going to:
-smooth and even out your skin tone
-make your skin feel soft, supple and illuminated
-improve your makeup application and protect your skin
-is organic
than the SLA Complexion 'Pre Makeup Base' is for you!

I was lucky enough to pick mine up super cheap from the SLA studio in Balmain. They have a SALE shelf there and they were selling off some testers for $10 BARGAIN! But the retail price is $67.
I would definately say this is a more high end brand but if you don't mind spending a little extra on some high quality makeup check them out!

Hello My Friends!
Since most of you guys are so knowledgable when it comes to makeup and beauty products I thought I would ask for your help. What do you think of BB creams? I recently purchased a few small sample sized tubes (after my utube friend OZY45A suggested this) so that I could test them before spending the cash on a full sized version. I have to say I am soooooo glad I did! I found they were very sheer and didn't give me enough coverage. Than after watching another Youtuber I bought the Missha Cho Bo Yang. So far I am liking this. It goes on a little grey and I have to warm it up with bronzer but other than that it gives a very nice finish.
So, I thought I'd ask you guys WHAT SHOULD I TRY? HOW SHOULD I USE IT?

This is not the makeup I wear to work, or special occasions, night , etc. This is what I wear for just a normal day where I'm running errands etc. I know this might be a little heavier than some people wear but "thats me!" lol. You should see me at work, lol.

NPOTW- "China Glaze" - Turned up Turquoise

Hello My Friends,
I feel like I haven't posted for ages! I have been super busy over the last few days renovating and organizing my 'beauty room'. I should have a room tour for you guys soon. I'm so glad it's done. I feel like I've had a really hard work out. Muscles are sore that I didn't even know existed! Apart from the ripping up of the carpet I did the entire thing myself. Laid the flooring, painted, moved and constructed furniture, THE LOT! I'm so proud, (if you can't already tell), lol.

Anyway, today I have a "Nail Polish Of The Week" for you. So here it is:

This little gem as you can see from the title is called "Turn it up Turquoise". Such a cute name! I don't actually own this polish. I had my acrylic nails infilled (like I do every 2 weeks) a couple of days ago and this is the polish I chose from the salon.

I love it! and i find the China Glaze polishes tend to last really well on acrylic nails. I choose them a lot from the salon I go to even though they have a mixture of brands. I have been removing the polish a repainting my nails myself 1 week after having them infilled but that is purely because I want to, not because I need to.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to check in and let you guys know that I am still here. I will probably miss a couple of days here and there over the next week or two because I am revamping my 'makeup' room. I have just ripped up the carpet and patched up the walls so painting will start tomorrow! Something I am really not looking forward too but Im sure I will love it once I am finished.
So as of right now I don't actually have anywhere to film tutorials etc. Hopefully it will only take me a few days to get this sorted. Will still be posting regularly though.

Makeup Tutorial- Naked Palette Smokey eye & Illamasqua red lip

Hi Dolls & Gents!
For this makeup tutorial I decided to try something different. Because I have hooded eyelids I tend to stay away from shimmery colours, but the Naked palette by Urban Decay is so pretty that I just couldn't resist and had to give it a go.

The colours I used were the two on either end. Virgin, Sin, Creep and Gunmetal.

My blogging friend "Glitter Tramp" inspired me to do a red lip, so it was the perfect time to try out this perfect neutral red lipstick by Illamasqua. It's called 'encounter'.

Crest 2 hour whitening strips

I can't believe it's Friday again. This year is just flying by.
Tonight I thought I would talk about the "Crest 3D Whitestrips (advanced seal) 2 hour Express".

I bought mine from ebay for $50 about 3-4 weeks ago. There are a few different versions available of the Crest whitening strips, but the ones I purchased are the 2 hour strips. You get four applications in a pack so it should last you for one year if used as directed which is one application every three months.

So each pack contains four sealed foil packs. Each smaller pack contains two gel strips, one for the top teeth and one for the bottom.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

-It's best not to brush your teeth before hand

-You open the foil packet and peel the largest gel strip off the backing and stick it to your top teeth. Make sure cover your teeth right up to the gum and then fold the rest of the strip under your teeth and stick behind your teeth.

-The smaller strip is for your bottom teeth so stick it on the same way.

- Leave on for 2 hours , then peel off and rinse your mouth.

These strips are really sticky. I was worried at first that they would fall off but they didn't budge. The 'advanced seal' technology means that they don't slip at all and you can even drink water if you want to while whitening.

WHAT DO I THINK?

I had seen quite a few people talk about this product and say "it really works" so I was super excited to try them. I had never whitened my teeth before and I guess after all the hype I was expecting a lot. I followed the instructions to the T, but I didn't buy any of the extra products like the whitening toothpaste etc. Unfortunately I don't have before and after shots for you because you couldn't see a difference at all. I gave a friend of mine a set to try and he didn't notice a difference either. So one week later I used another set (I know your not suppose to). Oh, I forgot to mention that I didn't get any sensitivity or side affects. After the second application I still couldn't really see a difference. They did feel cleaner but not really whiter. I asked some friends if they could tell I'd whitened my teeth and no one really noticed. So I still have one set left which I will use in a couple of weeks.

WILL I BUY THEM AGAIN?

Ummmmmmm, No!

Unless when I use the last set I get miraculous results, which I doubt.

I just want to say that I have seen other reviews where people have had fantastic results but unfortunately for me they really didn't work. Devastated! You would really have to try them for yourself because I guess everyone is different. Maybe they would be good for people who have had their teeth professionally whitened and just want to touch up every three months. but sadly for me they were a FAIL!

About a month ago I was lucky enough to win a giveaway being held by the lovely Jacie from "You've Got Nail". The prize was a trial pack of the "Rational Essential Six", which is a complete skin care system.

What Happened?
I had enough product to use for two weeks. A lovely lady from Rationale gave me a consultation via email and told me what to expect before I started the regime. I was told that I could find that my skin gets quite flaky when first starting but I was really lucky. I didn't get any weird side effects and my skin felt amazing right away. I do normally suffer with some flaky areas and if I don't exfoliate regularly my skin can look aweful. When I started using the system I decided to stop using everything else! As the name suggests the whole system consists of 6 products. Three day and three night steps. Six steps might sound like a lot but this includes everything from cleanser, exfoliator,to sunscreen and everything in between. It only takes minutes of an evening and of a morning. My skin was awesome, it really did work. I have to say it is probably the best my skin has felt in years.

So What do I think?
I think the system is fantastic, it really does work. I only used it for two weeks and it had made a huge difference to the look and feel of my skin.

There are only two negative things I have to say about these products.
1. As soon as I stopped using it my skin reacted really badly. It just looked dry and flaky and I actually described my skin as looking like a dry mask. It took about a week for my skin to get back to normal after I stopped using the regime.
2. I would have loved to purchase the full sized version of the 'Essential Six' but they are very pricey. You purchase the day and the night pack seperately, but all together it is around $650.00 for the whole system. I think if you can afford to spend the cash it is definately worth the money but it is something I will have to add to my wish list for now.

I want to say a huge Thank you to Jacie from "You've Got Nail" for hosting the giveaway and to Rationale. They were awesome and very thorough. Not only did they do a skin consultation via email but they rang me 1 week into the system and then again when I had finished to see how I went.

Small Haul - Revlon, Bourjois and The Bodyshop

Hello my fabulous Guys and Gals,
I have a small haul to share with you guys.
To all of my fellow Aussies if you have a Priceline near you they are having a sale on some cosmetics so get in there, lol! I'm not sure how long the sale last or if it's the same in every store but I'm sure if you call them they will let you know.

I won't go into too much detail about the products because I'll have reviews, swatches etc coming soon.

I only bought a handful of items but I've been dying to try some Bourjois blushes. The special was "buy 3 products and pay for 2" the cheapest one is free, so I picked up:

From left, Bourjois Blush in 16 Rose, Bourjois eyeshadow in 05 and Bourjois Blush in 34 Rose. I wasn't 100% sure about the names but I looked all over the package and thats all I could find. I can't remember the exact price but the blushes are around $20 and I think the eyeshadow was about $3 more.

I thought the eyeshadow would make a great highlighter but I'll show you swatches and give my opinon when I do the review.

Revlon had the same special on their products so I picked up 3 nail polishes for the price of 2.

From left 110 Pink Lingerie, 325 Gum Drop and 320 Jaded, and I absolutely love them all!
I had to stop myself from buying anything else in Priceline since I'm trying to save my money for the "Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend", I'm sure some of my BB friends out there know what I mean, lol.

I only went to one more shop and that was 'The Bodyshop". I have to say that up until about 6 months ago it had been years since I'd shopped here. Years ago it was a 'party plan' much like "Tupperware" where someone would host a party and you would buy out of a catalogue. It was much cheaper back them too.

Firstly I was super excited to find this:

This is called the "radiant highlighter" and it was $25.95. I'm really addicted to highlighters right now, It is so pretty so I'll be telling you guys a lot more about this product in a future post.

I really needed a body exfoliator since the one I have been using is just about empty, and I found this:

It is called "The Sweet Lemon Bodyscrub" $27.95 and it smells so delicious!! The glove didn't come with it but the lady in the store (of course) suggested that I buy it. I usually use my hands but the lady said that I probably waste a lot of product by dropping it between my fingers. I thought I would give it a go. The glove was $8.95 and when I left I stopped into a bargain store and they had them for $2, lol. I think I will go back and purchase the one for $2 and compare the two.

So that's my haul, I know it's small but I'm really happy with all of these products so far. More info coming soon.

Maybelline Mini Color Rama in "Green Park"

Hey Peeps,
Today i thought I'd share with you this nail colour that I have been wearing for five days (so excuse the pic). As the title says it's the Maybelline 'Mini' Color Rama in "Green Park". It is a pastel shade of green but not quite minty. In the picture below I have used three coats of "Green Park" and one clear top coat.

I am actually really loving these 'mini' sized polishes. I don't know about you guys but I don't think I have ever used a full nail polish right to the bottom before it gets old and turns gluggy. So I think these smaller versions are a great idea, and at around $4 you could pick up two or three shades for the price of one full sized polish, bargain!

Makeup Tutorial- Rainbow Eyes (requested)

Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Tonights post is another makeup tutorial. This one is a request. The "rainbow eyes" look is very popular on You Tube at the moment, which is why I wasn't going to do it. But since I've had a few requests for my version of the look , I had to oblidge.

For the eyeshadow I used one of my 120 palettes from BH Cosmetics and a little glitter in the tearduct area by icandy. I used 8 colours on the eyes but you could use as many or as little as you like.

I added some false lashes but for something a little different I added bottom lashes too.

Most of you know I love a nude lip, so in the picture above I am wearing "Myth" by MAC with a little clear Lipglass. For something a little different and to keep with the 'rainbow' theme I added a Pink Lip. I used NYX Fushia Lip Liner with "Anime" Lip Tar by OCC and a little clear Lipglass.

I have a few tips if you are going to try this look.

-Pick colours that are going to blend into each other easily, for example yellow to orange to red. If you were going to do yellow and then a blue I would suggest adding a green in between.

-Start off with the lightest colour at the inner corner and gradually end with the darkest colour in the outer corner. This gives the eyes a nice shape and is usually flattering to most eye shapes.

-Have multiple brushes ready to use. If you only have one or two brushes make sure you clean off the brush well in between each colour.

-Only blend each colour into the one that is next to it. Blending all of the colours together with give you a muddy result.

Hello Bellas,
On Thursday I made my way into Balmain 'Sydney' for a blogger event held by SLA Academy. I was really excited when nicole invited me firstly because what is more fun than learning about and playing with makeup, but also because I had never actually heard of the brand "Serge Louis Alvarez". So I couldn't wait to find out more.
The studio is situated on the main street in Balmain "Darling Street", it's very modern but still very welcoming and cosy. I think people walking by might not realize that they can actually come in and purchase makeup from the studio . The lovely ladies from SLA put on a yummy high tea for us. This is just some of the spread (I knew you guys would want to see this). Of course there was tea aswell, lol.

So I thought in this post I would just tell you a little about the event and the actual company and then once I have had a chance to play with some of the products I'll do some reviews for you all.

When you walk into the studio you see a wonderful makeup display and everyone is welcome to swatch and test to your hearts content.

Oh how I would love to have this at home!

The eyeshadows are super pigmented and the range of colours is fantastic!

This is just a small amount of the actual range, there are tons of different colours and finishes.

These little 3 pan palette can be filled with your selection, or choose a 5 pan instead! These are organic.

Off to the left of the displays is a little area that they use for makeup application. They always have a makeup artist in store for make overs, weddings and all special occasions.
Upstairs they have another area (which I didn't get a chance to see), but they hold tons of makeup classes and workshops in their academy, and for wedding parties they even have a private room for the ladies to relax while being pampered and prepared for the big day.

It's not just makeup that you can purchase from SLA, they have some luxurious body products which smell good enough to eat, makeup brushes, bags, discounted makeup and a high end skin care range will be in store soon.

SO WHAT IS SLA?
SLA was created by a makeup artist named Serge Louis Alvarez in the early 1980's. He had worked in opera houses and theatres throughout Paris and recognized a need for more professional makeup. SLA is made in France and is now available in 34 countries worldwide.

SLA provides makeup to many training academies and colleges, professional makeup artists and also to the consumer. They try to cater for everyone with their professional, natural or organic ranges. Many of the products are ECOCERT certified organic and where possible ingredients are sourced from "Fair Trade countries", which is becoming more and more important to many of us today.

On Thursday we were lucky enough to see some of the products in action. One of SLA's makeup artists 'Hannah' treated us to a demonstration. The lovely Nicole (who actually organized this event) was Hannah's model when she did a very dramatic purple smokey eye. Those of you who follow my blog or You Tube channel would know that I love 'dramatic' so this was right up my alley!

These girls were awesome, Nicole is so knowledgeable and is so nice and easy going, (definately NOT a stuffy sales person).

After the demonstration we all had a play with some of the products, I had to control myself and only purchased a couple of things which I'll tell you more about later. They gave us all a little goodie bag containing some information about the brand, some Lummiere false lashes, an organic pulpy lipgloss and a magic manicure kit.
I am still surprised that I had never heard of this brand but I'm sure word will spread fast (especially in blogging land, lol).
I want to say a big thank you to all of the ladies from SLA but a special thanks to Hannah and Nicole who happily answered all of my questions and were very warm and welcoming.

Makeup Tutorial "Pink & Purple Sugar" using Sugarpill

Happy Thursday Guys!
Here is my most recent tutorial using some beautiful loose eyeshadows by Sugarpill Cosmetics. This is definately one of my more bright and dramatic looks and would not be wearable for all of you, but it is lots of fun!

The products I used are:

-Highlight, MAC cream coloour base in shell
-Setting Powder, Kryolan Translucent Powder
-Lipstick- YSL #24 Pink Peach
-Black Cherry lashes #118

Most Reached For Lipstick

Happy Wednesday my beauty loving friends!
Today I thought I'd share with you my most reached for lipstick. It's the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in #24 'Pink Peach'.

This lipstick has now found a permanent spot in my handbag and I love it so much that I (reluctantly) cut off half of the lipstick to put in a palette and carry in my kit to use on clients. It's wonderfully moisturizing and the lasting power is fantastic. When it does finally rub off it doesn't leave an aweful, dry looking stain on your lips. This lipstick has enough colour to wear on a night out with a full face of make up, yet it is also subtle enough to wear on those days when you want to wear a lipstick without looking too 'done up'. I also think this would be the perfect lipstick for any bride!

YSL Pink Peach is a medium to full coverage lipstick, it contains natural extracts for moisture and an SPF of 15+. I would say that for me at $50 here in Australia this definately 'is' a luxury item, but I am sooooo glad I decided to spoil myself that day. Lately on my casual days Ive found myself reaching for my #24 instead of a gloss!

I am not wearing any lip liner, gloss or primer.

Elle Bache Lip Saver in Pomegranate

HI LOVELIES!

Today I wanted to share with you the 'Elle Bache 30+ Lip Saver'. I actually just happened to stumble across this product at the Elle Bache counter at my local David Jones. They are $19 each (here in Aus) and you get 15ml of product in each of these little yellow tubes. They come in four different flavours each with a slightly different tint.
-Natural
-Melon
-Mocha
-Pomegranate

The one that I chose is Pomegranate. I picked this flavour 'one' because it smelt amazing, very sweet and of course fruity. But I also loved how it gave my lips a pretty healthy shine. Here is a picture of the product.

Some of you might say $19? For a lip balm?
I know it might seem pricey and I guess it is compared to the lip balms you can pick up from priceline for $5, but once you apply this to your lips you can immediately feel the difference between the lipsavers and the cheaper versions.

"The Elle Bace Lip savers are a rich, creamy and moisturizing sheer lip tint that provides very high sun protection. They provide broad spectrum 30+ against damaging UVA and UVB rays".

Don't be frightened off by the colour that the product appears to be when swatched, as you can see in the picture below it looks quite bright straight from the tube but it blends out to a very healthy looking glow.

You can see the swatch on the left is straight from the tube and the swatch on the right has been blended a little with my finger. Below you can see what it looks like on my lips. If it looks like I have a slight white ring around my lips, I do! lol.
I wiped off the lipstick I had on (after filming a tutorial) and applied the lip saver to take this picture and now I realized that I probably should have applied a little foundation first, lol. OOPS, Just ignore that! lol

This product is perfect for summer but it is the middle of winter here in Australia and I still find myself using it everyday. This is one of about four lip products (including lipstick) that has a permanent place in my handbag. It smells, feels and tastes amazing (don't eat it!) . I do think it is worth the $19.

Hey Peeps,
I wanted to show you all my favorite makeup brushes so here they are:

These are just the brushes that I constantly reach for to use on myself. I also have a brush roll in my lit for using on clients. most of these brushes I also have in there along with some others.
Most of these brushes are by Bodyography, Crown Brush and Sigma. Check out the video for more details and to find out how I like to use them. It's way to much information to write in one blog post, lol. If any of you can't watch videos or prefer written blog posts let me know because sometimes I do put more info in my vids.
